Gatsby healing everyone with Smiles!

'Dogs can mend broken hearts' Don't believe it? We have seen it happening to many people, and even to us! Dogs can change someone's life completely, it makes everything brighter and happier. Such an angel ready to make everyone happy with a smile is none other than- Gatsby!

We were lucky enough to chat with Gatsby and Ashley and get to know them and their awesome life. Their life is completed by a beautiful pomeranian named Sammie. Take a Glimpse into their life-

Being a dog mom is an amazing experience. Could you please share your journey to becoming a dog mom?

Our journey to becoming a dog parent actually started on a sad note. My husband and I had recently lost our 12-year-old lab mix to hemangiosarcoma. It came on suddenly and his passing was completely unexpected. Our house felt so empty and our senior Pomeranian was depressed being the only dog in the house. We happened upon a Bernedoodle breeder a few months later and knew it was destiny. We immediately applied and were so excited to bring a puppy into the house. He immediately brought so much joy into our lives and even perked up our senior dog right away. The puppy phase was rough at times, but he definitely helped the process of healing our hearts.

Losing a loved one is always a heartbreaking and difficult experience to go through. Losing a pet is a devasting experience. We are happy that Gatsby was able to help Ashley out.  

Every pet parent has memories they cherish a lot. Where everything is purrfect and it makes all the sad moments worth it. Can you share a heartwarming story about you and your pup?

Gatsby is the sweetest, most caring dog. The most heartwarming thing he does is how he shows love for his Pomeranian sister, Sammie. Sammie is 12 years old and has an intense fear of thunder. Anytime Gatsby hears the loud booms of thunder he will come running and look for his sister. He will lay by her side until the storm passes and it is the most heartwarming thing to see. Gatsby is so protective of her and will do anything to make her feel at ease. He has absolutely become her personal therapy dog, and it is amazing to see such a close "sibling" relationship.

Gatsby and Sammie sound like the purrfect duo we would like to spend our days with. They just make everything brighter.

Our pets always inspire us in the little things possible.  From the way, they make our day by waking us up to their dedication to a healthy lifestyle. What are the ways they inspire you?

My favourite thing about Gatsby is his smile. He always has this large grin plastered on his face. It is amazing to see how many people he brings happiness to with that smile. The world can be a depressing place, so he inspires me to bring happiness to others. Something as simple as a smile can brighten someone's day. I love bringing him to any dog friendly place we can find to spread a little joy to those around us.  

Completely being honest Gatsby's smile makes us happier too. We will also remember to smile and spread smiles.

We are in love with pups and we write comics inspired by them. In Superpups comic our lovely pets have superpowers to save the day. What superpower do you think Gatsby has?

I think if Gatsby had a superpower it would be mind reading. He has this crazy ability to sense somebody's needs, almost like he can read your mind. If you're feeling sad, he's right by your side. If you are happy or excited, he will sense it and run around and circles & match your energy level. I've never had a dog that senses my feelings so well. I am absolutely convinced he is my soul dog. I'd also love to read his mind sometimes, I'm sure he just thinks about treats and walks :)

We also wish we have a mind-reader friend ready to make things better for us. Gatsby is definitely your soul dog.

Dogs are the most loyal friend we have. But they come with huge responsibilities. Do you have any suggestions for someone who is considering adopting a dog?

I'd highly advise anyone thinking of adopting a dog to do your research. There is a lot that goes into getting & raising a dog. It's a lifetime commitment so you need to make sure you are ready. Before we got Gatsby, I did so much research from his particular breed all the way to training tips. It's also important to be patient with your dog. Not everyday is going to be easy. There are days I think about pulling out my hair because it's been such a rough training day, but for every bad day we have twice as many good days. Owning a dog is the most rewarding thing you can do. As long as you're ready for it, it will be worth every second!

Talking to Gatsby and Ashley and deep diving into the world of the amazing trio made us really happy. From learning about the soul dog to saving the world from stress with the help of Gatsby's mind-reading ability,  things are definitely better for us after talking to them!
